Some excerpts from the interview:

1. Can you tell us a little bit about your early years?

When I was a young boy, I was an extremely naughty child and because of that at an early age, I was sent to a boarding school by my parents. But I feel that was the best decision ever made. My boarding school life was phenomenal; it was actually life-changing. The exposure I received there changed my life for good. From being a local boy who couldn’t converse with people, I was put into an environment with kids from all over the world. Those formative years of my life helped me shape myself into the person I am today!

2. How did skincare happen for you?

During my years in Australia, due to problems back at home I had to cut my stay short and come back to take care of my family business. We quickly realized that the business was a sinking ship and we had to get out of it strategically. Post that one day I was visiting the supermarket and someone was trying to sell an Ayurveda skincare product to me, on reading the ingredients on the back label and I realized that there were a lot of chemicals added to it. It didn’t add up for me and that was like the eureka moment when I realized we had to bring organic skincare products to the shelves.

3. Over the years how have you managed client expectations?

It’s very true that nowadays we have unrealistic expectations from beauty products. Due to various factors, consumers are made to believe that these products can help fix the problem overnight. But that’s absolutely not true. I always give this example to my clients, imagine these products as you taking a gym membership. Do you expect to get a six-pack overnight? That’s not possible in the same way these products need you to be diligent, disciplined, and hard-working to get results!

We’re really grateful to Pritesh Asher for sharing his journey and valuable learnings with us.
