This small island country in the Southeastern pocket of the world is home to some of the biggest, most influential universities. Known as a global financial center and a melting pot of different cultures, Singapore is the ideal location for some of the top, prestigious educational institutions. It is a hot, new destination for students all over the globe, especially Asians. Here are some of the best universities Singapore has to offer-

  • 1.National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • National University of Singapore or more commonly known as NUS is one of the top-ranked university in the world and the oldest university in Singapore. It is a research university offering a variety of programs including sciences, medicine and dentistry, design and environment, social sciences, engineering, law, business, etc. at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. NUS has also collaborated with Yale and established the Yale-NUS college for liberal arts. The faculty of engineering at NUS was ranked 6th in the world. SUSS focuses on applied degree programs in the field of social sciences. It comprises of five schools- S R Nathan School of Human Development, SUSS School of Business, School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences, School of Law and School of Science and Technology.

    Located in the downtown area of Singapore, the campus is home to 10,000 undergraduates and postgraduate students. The university’s business programmes are modeled after the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The SMU Academy offers programs through diploma and certificate courses for working professionals. The course credit system is similar to most American universities.
