With more than 200000 lacs cases daily, India has taken severe steps and cancelled the CBSE board exams. Students are told to stay indoors and take preventive measures.
The question which arises here is what can one do to make the most of his/her time?

1) Virtual Internships
Internships are a tried and tested way of gaining knowledge, skills and experience, relevant to your interest. It is a great opportunity for building connections and getting your feet wet to find out if a specific field is something that you could pursue in the future. Students should use this time and apply to virtual paid/unpaid internships. This will surely help to build the students profile

2) Study for the SATs or ACTs
The summer is the perfect time for you to start preparing or even take your SATs or ACTs . By getting it out of the way, you will be able to better focus on the demands of the next rigorous academic year, as well as on building a strong college application. Additionally, you have more time and are under less pressure if you need to retake the test.

3) Start thinking about your college application
Putting your college application together. By beginning to build your application over the summer, you can tackle the different components in strategized phases, so that you can put forth your best application, without being overwhelmed by your school year responsibilities.
Use this time explore as many different ideas as possible, hone in on the 1-2 activities you care about the most, assume leadership and responsibility roles, and maximize your impact.

4) Learn a language
Learning a new language gives ones an edge over other students. It adds value to your study abroad application too. You can learn various languages online and attend classes and exams for the same. This is also a fun experience and won’t get you bored.

5) Exercise/ Yoga
To build your immunity during the lockdown, one must exercise daily for at least 30 mins. Students should also take some time out to practice yoga as it helps to increase one’s strength and flexibility. It also improvises one productivity and helps them to stay fit and healthy throughout the day
