Could you give us a brief description of yourself?

I am responsible for the development and execution of recruiting and enrollment initiatives to increase new inquiries and convert inquiries to qualified applications in order for the MBA and MS programs at the Leeds School of Business. I provide admissions counseling and strategic enrollment management services to prospective students applying to Leeds. I act as the first point of contact for all Leeds graduate prospective students. I also am a part of the evaluation committee of reviewing applications once an applicant has submitted all materials.

1. Who should be applying to your college? Please share details relevant to a specific degree/program as well.

At Leeds, we try to build a diverse class with students from all over the world with different academic and professional backgrounds. We greatly value work experience for our MBA program.

2. Why Leeds?

I believe Leeds attracts motivated, self-starters with high levels of integrity from faculty to staff to the students. Our faculty are some of the top researchers and professors in the field consistently being published in national and global media outlets. Our students are very entrepreneurial and come in with big goals and aspirations. This creates a culture of high energy and collaboration.

3. What according to you are the most interesting classes and/or professors at your college?

I believe the most intriguing piece of our curriculum is the variety. Students can explore a variety of electives including topics in real estate, corporate finance, supply chain management, date analytics, investment management, strategy and entrepreneurship just to name a few. Students have a lot of options and flexibility in their curriculum.

4. Can you share any updates or interesting changes on your campus or any new programs you have introduced or will be introducing?

We launched online MS programs in Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management in July.

5. What are some of the facilities or resources available to students who want to explore cutting edge careers, or pursue entrepreneurship while in the program?

The Leeds School of Business houses its own library, study rooms, coffee shop and MBA lounge. Students also have access to other amenities on campus such as the student recreation center, main campus library, numerous restaurants, coffee and convenient shops on campus and the University Memorial Center which is the campus-wide student union.

6. There is a lot of curiosity among our students on what a classic day would be like in the business program at your college? Could you describe it for us?

Students will either have class in the morning or afternoon. The MBA program is designed fully immersive, where students are active in clubs, organizations, case competitions. Core classes are roughly around 50 students in a classroom while electives can range from10-40 students.

7. For international students:

a. What assistance does your school provide to help them chalk their career paths?
Our career services team takes an individualized approach to career services, where they discuss the goals with the individual and set out a structured plan from there.

b. Is there any financial aid available to international students? If yes, who according to you would be the ideal candidate?
Yes, all applicants are considered for our merit-based scholarships.
