1.Course Design
The Early Admission Program is open to students in the final year of undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. A student completing a postgraduate must have begun the program immediately after graduation and without professional work experience. Following graduation, MIT expects an enrolled student to work full-time for a period of two to five years.

2. Aspects of Application
The Admissions Committee at MIT’s Sloan school reviews several aspects of a candidate’s profile. Make sure that you carefully outline and craft these requirements for your application.
a. Cover Letter: This is to demonstrate the core aspects of your personality. You can highlight how you intend on making the most out of the opportunities at MIT. This letter is critical to present yourself as a leader, innovative and ambitious. Meet the standards of business correspondence and use examples to justify your claims. Be creative and thoughtful while writing your cover letter and make sure to adhere to the word count while making several edits.
b. Resume: This gives a snapshot of your academic and other achievements. Keep it clear and concise. A crisp resume that speaks for itself is very influential.
c. Video Statement: Another representation of your personality, this essay introduces you to the Adcom. Stick to the technical guidelines given while making this video. Similar to an interview, your posture, body language and speech are essential.
d. Transcripts: As any educational institution, MIT demands academic excellence. So, attach the correct school transcripts for your deferred MBA application.
e. Letters of Recommendation: Ideally, your application must contain one letter from a professor and another letter from your employer. The people issuing these must be credible and able to vouch for your academic or professional achievements. Specific letters that address details work best.
f. Standardised Tests: Your GMAT or GRE scores must meet the standards demanded by the school. Submit the same with your application. MIT does not have a preference for one or the other standardised test.
g. Interview: The Adcom may invite you for an interview. Approach it with confidence and say the right thing at the right time.

3. News Updates
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, MIT has eased application requirements for the Early Admission Program. Students with limited access to standardised tests need not submit those scores. Similarly, one letter of recommendation with two additional references instead of two letters is the new criteria. While remaining sensitive to the situation to review the applications, MIT continues to seek excellent students who will work in tandem with one another. Lastly, MIT has currently suspended campus visits and events.

MIT is an outstanding institute for academics. By extension, one can assume that the enrolled students will also be exceptional. MIT stands on pillars of strength, ambition and result-driven thought. Become a part of this legacy and create one for yourself. Lead by excellence and pursue your dream of studying at MIT.
