DESCRIPTION
Hear Prof Murli Viswanathan of Carnegie Mellon University do a masterclass on Big Data. Masterclass series is a ReachIvy initiative where subject matter experts talk about their passion and area of expertise. ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Murli Viswanathan has a PhD in Computer Science from Monash University and a BS in Computer Science & Information Systems from Deakin University.
Prof Viswanathan has been with Carnegie Mellon University since 2007. At Carnegie Mellon his primary focus areas are lecture delivery, curriculum design, industry‐student project management and research development. He lectures students in Business Intelligence/Analytics, Data Mining, Enterprise Architecture, JAVA, and IS for Managers. He has managed/coordinated over a dozen student projects with the South Australian Government departments and industry partners. At Kyungwon University he planned and developed curriculum for several IT subjects, which were approved by South Korean Government Ministry of Information & Communication.
Prof Viswanathan is a senior member of the Australian Computer Society with Certified Professional certification. He has substantial experience with research projects, course and curriculum design and has delivered a variety of courses at all levels in information systems and computer science since 1996.
