About Him

Having earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business, and his undergrad (Bachelors of Science, Finance & Marketing) from University of Maryland College Park, Aashay has lived and worked globally: across 22 cities in the US, and 14 cities across India.

Having started his first music CD business at the age of 15, Aashay has always been passionate about entrepreneurship, end-user marketing, and sales. During his undergrad, he worked as a cart manager selling hot dogs and ice cream and sports games, and also interned at multinationals such as General Motors and Unilever. Post-graduation, he worked at Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations practice for 3.5 years in New York City and Washington DC, where he consulted Fortune 500 companies on their most pressing strategic and implementation initiatives.

During his MBA at Carnegie Mellon, he was on the entrepreneurship track and successfully started an education financing startup in Silicon Valley, and raised seed funding as well. After transitioning his role to his cofounders, Aashay moved back to India to run his family's agriculture startup Bloomfield Agro. Bloomfield is a vertically integrated agro startup that manufactures organic plant nutrients and helps 10,000 farmers across Maharashtra increase their yield and soil fertility by ~34%.

Aashay is also part of CMU Mumbai's Alumni Network and leads the Speaker / Interview series. He has hosted and interviewed India's top industrialists, startup founders, and public leaders. In his free time, he enjoys playing table tennis, badminton, cricket, and reading non-fiction books.
