Here are top 5 reasons to consider a undergraduate degree from Yale:

1. STARS Program – STARS provides undergraduates an opportunity to combine course-based study, research, mentorship, networking, and career planning in the fields of science and technology. The program is designed to support women, minority, economically underprivileged, and other historically underrepresented students in the sciences, engineering, and mathematics. More than 100 students each year participate in the academic year and summer STARS programs.

2. Center for teaching and Learning – The Yale Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) provides an array of teaching, tutoring, writing, and technology-enabled learning programs distributed across the University. The Center supports effective course design and promotes evidence-based teaching methods for University instructors, including faculty and teaching assistants. The Center also supports student learning and provides opportunities for students to develop as teachers, mentors, and leaders.

3. Research Facilities – Students conduct scientific research in over one million square feet of laboratory space, from the 2,600 square foot class 100 cleanroom at the Yale Center for Microelectric Materials and Structures to the W. Wright Nuclear Structure Lab to the Yale Institute for Nanoscience and Quantum Engineering at the Malone Engineering Center.

4. Campus Safety – The Yale Security Department provides 24 hour campus patrols, door-to-door escorts, and campus shuttles. Over 400 Blue Phones across campus provide instant access to the Yale Police Department and other emergency services.

5. Extracurricular Activities – The richness of life at Yale extends far beyond the classroom walls. There are more than 500 active organizations on campus, ranging from the Undergraduate Math Society to the Freestyle Dueling Association and including over 50 performance groups and 60 cultural associations.
